Program Overview: Humanities Innovation Credit Program (人文創新學分學程)
About X
Humanities Innovation Credit Program (人文創新學分學程)
Guided by the three pillars of “Exploring the Unknown,” “Translating the Humanities,” and “Mutual Growth Between Teachers and Students,” the Humanities Innovation Credit Program (人文創新學分學程) aims to serve as a cross-disciplinary platform for collaborative learning among all NCCU faculty and students. The program offers a diverse range of interdisciplinary courses integrating four core elements: creativity, narrative, digital literacy, and aesthetics. Its mission is to cultivate the core competencies needed for students to thrive in an era of renewed humanistic values.
Grounded in fundamental literacy, the program further enhances capabilities through practical implementation and scenario-based imagination. Teachers and students collaborate to apply knowledge from the humanities and social sciences, breaking through institutional boundaries and creating learning spaces that blend the virtual and the real, the new and the old.
Based in the Creative Lab on the third floor of the Arts Center, the program connects in-class teaching with out-of-class workshops, lectures, performances, and community activities, forming an organic, experimental space for creative education. Here, we strive to nurture a generation of NCCU students who are courageous in facing the future and equipped with strong problem-solving skills.

I. Background
The Humanities Innovation Credit Program, established by the Center for Creativity and Innovation Studies at National Chengchi University (hereafter referred to as the Program or X College), builds on the legacy of NCCU’s Creativity Program, University Micro-Revolution, X書院, and 藝遊計畫. Anchored in the Creative Lab of the Arts Center and drawing upon humanities and social sciences, the program breaks through institutional constraints to create an interdisciplinary credit program blending virtual and real, new and old, nurturing faculty and students who are both courageous and capable.
II. Philosophy
For the Program, relationships are fundamental. We encourage teachers to guide teachers, teachers to guide students, and students to guide each other. Practical application is our strength, so we incorporate aesthetics, creativity, narrative, and technology to cultivate perceptiveness, analytical skills, and expressive abilities among both teachers and students. Scenarios drive our motivation; thus, we explore social issues and personal contexts, leading all participants to think creatively and embark on journeys beyond the known.
III. Eligibility
The Program admits up to 40 undergraduate students from NCCU and the Taiwan University System each academic year, regardless of department, with priority given to sophomores and juniors. Enrolled students receive priority in course registration, activity participation, and use of facilities. Upon fulfilling all requirements within the designated study period, students are awarded a bilingual certificate of completion for the Program.
